Welcome!
Hello!
Thank you so much for signing up for this class!
This class is for anyone and it is my hope that it will inspire you to experiment with movement in any of your creative endeavors.
You will have access to all of the lessons in this class on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, and then have two weeks to submit your animations to the film festival (optional!).
The original class Facebook Group is open! You can head there now, introduce yourself, and enjoy the animations created in the last session of this class! You can always find the link to the right, or click here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1991262667846563/
Thanks again!
Kara

• One Submission per student.
• Films should be less than 25 seconds long.
• Everyone who contributes a film to the Film Festival will receive a $10 credit towards any of our classes.
• Join us for the live-stream presentation of ALL submissions on Saturday, May 20, 2020 at 12 noon PST hosted by Carla. Invite your friends!
• Kara and our friend Will Sonheim (from indy film distributor Music Box films) will pick their favorites from two categories and three different age groups.
• Categories: ….(a) Collage/3D Objects…. (b) Drawing/Painting
• The age groups are…. (a)10 and under… (b) 11-17 and (c) 18 and up
• One winner from each category will receive smart phone holder designed specifically for making animations.
Resources
Hi everyone!
People are asking about the stand we used for the class. It was basically these three things:
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/690971-REG/Matthews_B756020_C_Stand_with_Sliding.html
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1046652-REG/matthews_350625_baby_pin_adapter.html
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1249637-REG/xuma_mta_300b_smartphone_mount.html
The phone holder screws onto the little adapter and that slides onto the “blank” end of the arm.
Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions
Steve

Also, here is a DIY lamp and clamp project you can try!
Basic instructions:
1) Remove lamp head where it attaches to the end of the arm by unscrewing the knob and removing the bolt. Cut the power cord and pull it out of arms.
2) Attach the phone clamp by inserting the angled base into the gap where the lamp was and replace the bolt and knob. The lamp bracket is wider than the phone holder so you will need to insert several washers to hold it tight.
Parts needed: lamp, phone clamp, 3-4 washers
