Hi everyone!

I would like to invite you to join me in 2025 for a year of creative art making and community!

I think a big part of our energy to make art comes from the inspiration and camaraderie from the people around us. And we are going to celebrate that with our live, yearlong community by sharing  and working together. A positive group based on support is really important right now and that is what “Carla’s 2025 Art Club” is all about!

By joining us this year you will receive:

• Bi-Monthly Live Work Sessions. We will gather via Zoom twice a month to draw together, share ideas, show our work and spend time working together. The recordings of each session will be available in your class account by the Monday after each scheduled day. Once the video is up, you can access it on your own time schedule.

• Monthly Downloadable Art PDFs (Club Swag!). Drawing Worksheets! Art Prompts! Sidewalk Cracks! ‘Zines! Digital Art Prints! Printable Postcards! and… Who knows?! I’m planning on making a whole lot of stuff this year and you will get at least 24 digital, downloadable PDFs as part of your club membership.  Sample PDFs HERE!

• Community Forums. We will have two dedicated forums to share our work and be inspired by the work of others (Facebook and Padlet). Upload your work, get ideas, and ask questions of our community. What are you working on this year? What new markers are people enjoying right now?  Who was that artist we talked about during Zoom last week? Etc.

• 10% Off Online Classes & Etsy Offerings. Our catalog has over 90 classes from 30+ instructors in drawing, painting, mixed-media, collage and more. And, we have at least eight new classes coming in 2025. With your club membership you will receive a discount code for 10% off all online classes throughout the year.  Also, one of my goals this year is to go through my large inventory of artwork and put it up for sale on Etsy, as well as continue to make and sell ‘zines, books, digital prints and more. If you join this year’s club, you will receive a discount code for 10% off any Etsy order throughout 2025.

Working in community has so many benefits: encouragement, motivation, feedback, camaraderie, and inspiration to just name a few. And personally I am excited to take the time in 2025 to refresh my art life with some new projects and also things I haven’t had time for lately, such as indulging in my love for publishing ‘zines and books!

The price to $120 for 12 months… that’s just $10 per month for all of the above!

We will ring in the New Year with a special Zoom session on January 1st, and then the regular Zoom sessions will begin January 10th. We hope you will join us and wish you a wonderful creative 2025!

Carla Sonheim is a painter, illustrator, and creativity workshop instructor known for her fun and innovative projects and techniques designed to help adult students recover a more spontaneous, playful approach to creating. Carla is the author of three instructional art books, including Drawing Lab for Mixed Media Artists: 52 Creative Exercises to Make Drawing Fun; Drawing and Painting Imaginary Animals: A Mixed-Media Workshop and The Art of Silliness: A Creativity Book for Everyone. In 2012 she co-authored Creative Photography Lab with her husband, Steve Sonheim, and has a new publication out called “Chasing Rabbits: Life, Creativity & the Pursuit of Happiness.” They live in Seattle, WA.

Supplies

This year is about showing up together and drawing and making our art. You will just need the art supplies you like to use and already have on hand! Pens, pencils, markers and paper… also, you might want a printer to print out the PDF worksheets, and a 3-ring binder to house everything!
